• MenuBall is a small extension (it may become a Control Panel in the future) that puts a bouncing ball in your menu bar. It doesn't slow up your Mac too much, and it shouldn't give you any bombs (but I make no warranties on this: use it at your own risk). Sometimes the ball is not erased properly and leaves a sign on your menu bar. I'll see if I can fix it, but it's absolutely harmless. Just switch to another application to have the menu bar redrawn properly. The ball speed depends on the application you're using: if the ball stops, the application is not written properly and desk accessories called from inside it won't work either.
• MenuBall is free. You may give it away to your friends, post it on BBS's or include it in any commercial & non-commercial stuff you can possibly think of, as long as this note is included and the extension is not modified. If you really like it, send me a postcard. You may include suggestions or bug reports if you want to.
• If you can bear MenuBall for more than half an hour, you've earned it.
• MenuBall IS configurable, even though it has no Control Panel yet. If you know how to use ResEdit (or any other resource-editing program that can read ResEdit templates), take a look at MenuBall's 'BALL' resource. If you modify it, keep in mind that patching jGNEFilter instead of SystemTask will give you a lot more garbage in the menu bar.
